How does TRACS work? 850 1997

TRKS works just like ABS. When one wheel is rotating much faster than another, TRKS applies brake pressure to the spinning wheel. Very simple.

TRKS in the 850 is limited to 25mph, anything over that speed and TRKS is no longer engaged. With snow tires on my 854T, I can floor it from a stop and once I get over 25mph, the tires will spin :) Fun!

With the newer AWD vehicles, TRKS will also limit throttle. That makes it almost impossible to get a V70XC to get sideways in the wet... at any speed.
