850 error code 522 850 1995

Hi,

I took my car in for an annual inspection, and it just so happened that my check engine light was coming on. My mechanic (NOT my Volvo guy) said the OBD code was 5-2-2 (or P0131), but didn't say specifically what the problem was.

I've since looked it up, and it's translated as rear oxygen sensor preheating.

Anyone know what this means specifically, and what steps I should take?

The car is a 1995 Volvo 850T with about 105K.

Thanks.

Oh yeah, it passed the inspection.
