Is it possible to swap the stock radio? V70-XC70

Hi all,

I was wondering if this can be done safely: I'd like to swap the stock Volvo-radio in my 2002 V70 (HU-603 or something) for a double-din touchscreen navigation/DVD unit. I've found a double-din fascia for this car, I've found a suitable navigation/DVD unit and I've found a firm that installs these things... but I'm curious what needs to be done to put it in the car without affecting anything.

There's no adapter for the volume/program buttons on the steering wheel, so they won't work... but I'm more concerned about safety-issues. Can it affect any system? Will I be getting messages that there are problems with the airbags or something? Do I need to go to my Volvo-mechanic to have a computer update?

Any info appreciated. Thanx.
