soliciting advice 850 1993

Stay away from 1993. They changed a bunch of stuff in the second model year. As Klaus says, 1995 is a year to shoot for. Later had ABS module problems, earlier A/C problems. Computer interface (LED/pushbutton) up to and including 1995. Read and reset codes via an included box under the hood.

FWD nothing to be concerned about - just the normal handling change from RWD. Only thing on our cars is axle boots wear out fairly fast, Transmission is ok if fluid is changed regularly.

The engines are solid, and the turbos reliable for many miles. My indy says the turbo helps wear the engine out by 250K miles. Mine is running strong at 186K.

Think about it - they are still making the 5 cylinder. Must be doing something right.
