Coolant Leak 1998 S70 T5 S70 1998

Hi All,

Seasons greetings!

We're talking about a 1998 S70 T5 with 133K miles.

Coolant level slowly goes down. Coolant is evident on my garage floor, and on the plastic 'ridges' of the radiator just below where the upper hose meets the radiator and all ridges beneath and there is usually a drop of coolant 'waiting' to drop at the bottom of the radiator when looking beneath the car.

I did change the upper radiator hose and still have the same problem. I haven't accurately measured, but the rate of leakage seems to subside after the coolent level goes down an inch or two in the reservoir.

Am I correct to assume that the most likely cause is a hole in the radiator? If so, is it advised to attempt to patch up the radiator somehow or is it advised to simply buy a new one? What are some examples of patching?

Thanks a bunch, guys!
