Moonroof problem - or is my V70 possessed? V70-XC70 2004

Sorry it has taken a while to post but we have been busy with the holidays.

Well the fun continued on the way to the dealer when the roof opened half way there while there was a mixture of rain and snow falling. At the dealer they said another care had arrived the day before doing the exact same thing.

When they said it would require $450 to replace a control module I asked the dealer to get the roof closed and disable it which cost me less than $100. They disconnected the motor. We don't open the sunroof much...so I thought why pay? Well now we seem to have a medium loud clicking noise that almost sounds like a fan blade hitting something coming from above.

This morning I pulled fuse 34 (moonroof) in hopes of removing the noise. My wife drove the car today and the noise occured...even after shutting the car down...

Of course the warranty ran out last summer....
