Cold air leak? '99 V70

It finally got cold here in southeastern North Carolina. I can tell because the little orange light glows on the dash of my '99 V70. Running up I-40 to see UNC beat Kent State, I discovered 2 problems with my car's HVAC.

1. The fresh air open/close doorleaks. When driving along at speed, I hear a whistling noise in the dash when I have the recirculating button is pressed. That is, when the system is supposed to be recirculating the cabin air, I hear a whistling noise indicating that fresh air is leaking into the cabin. It must be a small leak, as I don't feel it anywhere. Is there an easy fix for this? Is this akin to the blend-door problem on my 97 Explorer?

2. I feel cold air leaking in around the driver's door latch and window switches. Is this a problem with air entering the door chamber through some hole? Or is it a problem with air blowing out through the latch/switch area because it's not sealed properly. I'd like to know what I'm doing before I pull the panel and start looking around.

What's your experience? Any advice? TIA, David.
