Dead 850 850 1996

Thanks for all the help so far folks!

The latest update on the 850:

Took the battery out to get it charged up at Sears. They told me it was frozen and that under warranty, I am entitled to a new battery. So with a new battery, the car started up just fine, but I'm guessing this isn't the end of it. I need to figure out whether something is draining it or whether it's not being recharged. The alternator was recently replaced (did I say that already?). This morning, the mechanic tried to read the charge coming from the battery while it was powering the car but said the only reading the machine would give him is "system noise" and he didn't know what to make of that. Any thoughts?
