Quick help with new Master Cylinder?? Bleeding question

When I did mine, I followed the directions that came with the master cylinder. I then fastened the master cylinder to the car but did not connect the brake lines. I then slowly filled the master cylinder until brake fluid would drip from the brake line connections. I then tigtened the brake lines and then topped to recommended height. I then used my mightyvac at each of the wheels to flush the old fluid. Worked fine for me.
