following ignition turned off, a motor keeps running 850 1994

After turning of the ignition of non turbo a motor of somekind keeps running and drains the battery. It stays running for three minutes and then stops. The motor like noise is in fornt of the battery somewhere, I put my fingers on the radiator fan and its not it. I checked my diagnotics A 1-7 and no trouble reported. This motor noise does not come on immediately but four minutes after you exit the car. Then it lasts about three minute. It wont reapear until I run the engine again. I repaired my last 6 volvoes mostly myself but this problem has got me stumped. This was dicovered when a dead battery was replaced. The noise is definitely under the hood. Hope some one can help me. Thanks
