Buy an 850 (Turbo?) or ...? 850

I'm finally looking up to an 850 as my commuter vehicle. I previously owned a 740 Turbo which I sold about 2 years ago in a wife-induced vehicle reduction program and I wish I still had it. Unfortunately, I know she is not keen on any older (needing paint) vehicles with saggy head-liners and such and I am hoping I can slip something like an 850 by her.

I am sure there are links or posts related to this topic and welcome being pointed to them, but what is to look for in the 850s? Should I be looking even newer (S70 or ?)?

I prefer to be able to do maintenance (most of it) myself, so don't want something requiring massive computer reprogramming to fix stuff.

Any help is appreciated.
