Milled Head 850

This raises some questions. but I wouldn't worry about it.

The interference occurs when the engine is grossly out of time. This forum is repleat with stories of timing belts off by one or more teeth, and no one has ever talked about interference. Total valve lift is .333, which is 13 times your 0.026 distance. In my mind, there's a lot of room to work with there.

The 0.026 IS way beyond spec however. I read the milling limit as 0.012 in some places and 0.011 in others. But manufacturers typically would set a spec like this very tightly.

I think you tensioner, as long as it is in good shape should be fine.

Write us back a year from now and let us know how everything went.
