Speedo Cluster 850

Hi All:

Just replaced the little yellow gear in the odometer that breaks every few years or so and tried to clean the clear plastic outer cover and now I have these white streaks and dots and splotches all over it. Glass cleaner, water, soap and water......nothing helps. Anyone ever had this happen and figured out how to clean up? Might have to ebay a new one.

ps. the white plastic gear from Groton is much stronger than the yellow volvo gear. should be the last time.
