Retrieving correct mileage from computer...... 850 1995

Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong when trying to retreive my mileage from the onboard computer? The following instructions are what I have used in the past but this time for whatever reason I cannot pull the first three digits, which would be the 100,000 part. The car has approx. 171,000 miles on it.

1) Switch ignition on.
2) Connect the fly wire to socket, A7.
3) Push button 5 times.
4) When LED comes on and stays on, enter code 1-1-1 as follows:
-press the button once when the LED is still on.
-wait for LED to go out and come on again.
-press the button once when the LED is still on.
-wait for LED to go out and come on again.
-press the button once when the LED is still on.
-read off response,which will be the last 3 digits of the odometer mileage.

5) Repeat steps #3 & #4 but enter code 1-1-2 (that is, press the button twice
on the last step); read off response, which will be the first 3 digits of
the odometer mileage.
