07 XC V70-XC70

Looking at an 07 XC to add/replace my 99V70. Would sooner have a FWD V70 but late model seem rare - not much to choose from.

In any case I took a 07 XC with 27000 km for a spin and very disappointed. It seemed to have as many rattles as my 99 (200,000km) and was not as comfortable. The ride seemed very 'busy'. It also had the 4C suspension and I could tell no difference between sport and comfort modes. I could not see living with this car for long term.

Is this what I should expect or should I look and drive another. I am looking at a Saab wagon as well.

Any ideas from other XC owners?
