AC compressor not working - fixed!!! - Kudos to the masses 850 1996

Thank you, Thank you! ..to all who provided inputs to my situation.

Turns out the AC switch WAS the culprit. I took it off. One website described how to take it apart and cleaned it.

Sure seems to be one of the achilies heel of the ac system....turns out it was arching at the A/C side of the climate control switch. That is one under-designed switch if ever there was one.

All said (and done), I (my wife that is) will be in much cooler temps as things go into the 80+ degrees in the great Southwest US. So much for having a black car...
BOTTOM LINE>>>:

I have NOW calculated that using this very Brickboard, I have saved VERY close to $3000(US) in repair suggestions and ideas(in contrast to having a dealer perform the repairs). Imagine what that is equal to in hours of take home $$$.

Yeah, it took alot of hours busting knuckles, but ....

THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!THANK YOU!!!!

Jayfry.......(big smile here)
