No Oil Pressure Warning Light S80 1999

Klaus,

Thank you for your input. This S80 has a 6 cylinder engine. About the dealer, they just said the connector rod bearings were worn. I took one of the bearings to another Volvo mechanic and he said he didn't see anything wrong with it. The dealer told me they did not "update" the oil ring pick up, and thye did not say wheter or not they tested the pressure sender or actually check the oil pressure. The current mechanic I took my car to did and engine flush and is doing an oil pressure test.

Do you think changing the oil pump will fix the problem? The current mechanic gives it a 50-50 chance.

Thank you.
