Thanks. Happily, my daughter didn't buy from any of those guys you criticized -- and Palm Springs is way too far. She bought her car from Los Angeles Volvo (right in downtown, about two minutes from her firm's office), and the one time she's had her car serviced (it's a year and a half old, about 8K miles now, and zero defects) at my urging at the 1 year point, it went uneventfully -- plus they took her to work and picked her up afterward, so it's convenient for her. So I can't praise the dealer, but can't criticize it either.
