What does "M' indicate on suspension line of ID plate?

So my shocks are toast, local garage ordered wrong ones then didn't believe they could locate the correct fit. Called dealer and dealer gave them $500 price ea. So I immediately thought "shit they're Nivomats".

Vlvoworld says to check ID plate on inner fender, 5th line to right side and 4th character in (or area 22). Mine says "M"....what does that indicate? Please don't say Mivomat (the even more costly cousin of the Nivomats!!!!)
