Can only guess, but .... S80

I've never been able to see a wiring diagram for the S80, but assuming that the failures of these two "unrelated" items are not mere coincidence (i.e., they really both stopped at the *exact* same time), it's possible that their electrical cables run through a common wiring harness, and something has happened to that harness. That's the only thing I can think of besides the most obvious: that they share the same fuse??? Did you check the fuse list to see if this is so? And is there anything else that has failed?

Re the "common cable" possibility, has the car any history of having been in an accident; or did you have recent work done, especially inside the car (passenger compartment), where the common cable is likely to be found?

Wish I could be of more help.
