Scanner that can access Volvo specific codes - does it exist? V70-XC70 2001

There are scanners out there that can do it but they are all expensive. I use a laptop with the latest version of Vadis on it which also requires the use of a VST and a couple of cables, total cost including the laptop would be conservatively in the area of $2500.00. Another option would be to get either the Baum or AST tools, the work very well and they carry a multi thousand dollar price tag as well. Now you have a little insight into why shops charge to read and clear your codes. If you have a "manufacturer specific" code you may want to pay someone to take a look at it for you. Not much of a "yes" answer but it is the only one I have.
