My 97 850 non turbo will crank but not start

My 97 850 non turbo will not start. It had no issues until parked and then would not start back up later in the day. It has good fuel pressure and no spark from coil. It has 12v at red lead to coil when in key pos 2 and steady 12v on blue lead when cranking starter. Replaced coil and no change. Pulled lead to cps and read about 400 ohms. I have even given thought of buying a OBD=2 hand held but don’t even know if that would help isolate the problem. I called auto zone and they want $140 for a CPS. Any help would be appreciated.
