1999 XC70 V70-XC70 1999

I own a 1999 XC70, original owner, with 155K miles. In recent months I've begun to experience noises that I can not pin down the cause on, except for front strut on passenger side that kind of makes a banging round noise. Most troubling is a drivetrain sound that makes the car sound like it's getting ready to "take off". It's a drone like sound that increases with MPH. If I turn the wheel slightly to the driver side (left) at mid to higher speeds the noise intensifies. I can feel the "drone" in the gas pedal. Any ideas?
Car was recently inspected,no issues. New matched tires, alignment, new brakes.
Thanks.
