Service light question 850 1996

The light starts working at a certain mileage after its last reset and will continue to work until it is reset.

I think that the interval is 5000 miles.

If you get your oil changed 4000 miles after the last reset and the technician does not reset it, it will come on 1000 miles later.

If you had a dealer tech change your oil last, the dealer should be willing to reset the light to correct his error. The same should be true with a reputable indie.

The Jiffy lube guy?????

If you haven't read your owner's manual yet, you had better go through it before your gas filler door sticks and you need to open it manually!
