'04 V70R front brake pads V70-XC70 2004

This is probably an old subject but a search of the last couple of months of the forum didn't show anything.

Need replacement front brake pads for my 2004 V70R, 46K miles, rotors look fine. I don't do any "performance" driving, but mostly long distances and lots of Interstates. Is there any percentage in moving to a pad that is an upgrade from the factory item, or is that adequate? I'm concerned about not sacrificing any cold stopping performance, or getting into hot fade problems. The factory pads on the car now seem to perform well, but if there is anyone who has experience with an upgrade I'd like to hear about it.

And a good source for a break on the price for the pads, too.

Thanks.
