Mileage drop after new plugs 850

I recently changed my NKG plugs to the volvo blister pack for my 850.

I noticed a drop in mileage, as in 2 to 3 mpg on the highway and 3 in the city.

Any idea why the blister pack plugs would decrease fuel efficiency?
