speedometer and ABS /TRACS S70

hi everyone.friend of mine has just replaced his axils on a 98 S70 no turbo.
the ABS and Tracs lights came on and the speedometer gave up too.any idea.I reseated the ABS/Tracs connector on the module and also checked the sensor
on the trany(automatic) right under the ABS module (i think its the speedometer sensor) problem still there.is his ABS module just died?whats about the speedometer?
