2003 XC70 Ignition Wire replacement and hardcopy manual for XC70 V70-XC70 2003

On my first attempt to change the ignition wires on my 2003 XC70 5 cylinder, I took off the 8 Star/Torkx screws and plastic cover that was on top of the engine thinking that the ignition wires would be under the cover. What I found were rectangular black plastic parts with shielded wires, nothing like my 240 ignition wires. Am I in the correct section and how do I procede with replacement of the ignition wires?
Also, I cannot seem to find a Haynes-type manual for the XC70. All I can find is a CD that does not work and the Volvo "Charge by the minute" tech department. Is there a hard copy manual for the XC70?
