kenwood double din stereo S70

I'm thinking about buying a kenwood dnx-7120 double din stereo navigation system for my 2000 s70 glt. Crutchfield says it won't fit, but the stock sc-816 radio appears to be double din. Is crutchfield wrong? I have known then to be wrong before in the past. I eee those 2 guide rails in the opening when you take out the stereo. I am assuming that's why they are saying it won't fit. They probally get in the way of a new stereo. Also the opening seems to be a little bit wider that a normal double din. Would I have to make a homemade trim piece of some sort to cover up any gaps? Has anyone else put in a new double din aftermarket radio in their car before? Any tips or advice or suprises I should look out for. I don't want to have to put in a 1 din unit because I would have to put in a dash pocket. Can't stand those. They look so cheap and ugly and it's wasted space in my eyes. Thanks for the help.
