replacing antenna mast 850 1995

The fender nut is the only thing holding the antenna down, besides a cranky stainless steel sleeve. Just check the end of the plastic toothed strip to make sure it is all out. They seldom break apart. And remember which way the teeth are pointing when you pull it out! The new one goes down in the same direction.

I have had the motor out and completely disassembled. There are a few hard fitting pieces inside the round part, but re-greasing helped get rid of the noise I was having.

I still miss my 164 and my 854T. Just driving a V70R :)
