Considering purchasing a 97 850 GLT and need advice 850 1997

The car is 11 years old, expect some of the suspension to also be in need of replacement. Check the tranny fluid, it should be red or at least reddish, not dark brown. The tranny dipstick is down behind the radiator on the driver's side.

Make sure all of the electricals work. Door stop straps tend to break and the sway bar endlinks probably need replacing (easy).

The T5 will get around 28mpg highway, the GLT closer to 30mpg. But the T5 is so much more fun :)
