loud clunk front right. V70-XC70

First, reach around the rear of the tire, still on the ground, and grab the sway bar end link. It is a metal rod that goes up and down. Try to shake it, and if it is loose, get a replacement pair from IPD. Their end links are much better than OEM.

Next, open the hood. Get an adjustable wrench and see if you can "tighten" the large strut nut. If it turns without tightening, the strut mount is questionable. Go to the dealer and get replacement parts for an XC90, much beefier and longer lasting.

Sears??? They sell great strut spring compressors for $55.
