Windsheild wipers stopped S70 1998

I bought a folding Torx driver set at Sears for $5, very handy and fits in the glove box.

Open the hood and remove all of the leaves, etc from the black cover under the windshield. Remove both wiper arms from the posts. Then remove the Torx screws from the black cowl cover, the 2 drain tubes do not have to be removed.

Pull the cover away from the bottom of the windshield. A good time to replace the cabin filter or clean the old one.
One or both of the wiper posts are probably frozen and in need of lubrication. Place a few drops of penetrating oil on each post and wait a few minutes. Turn the car on and switch the wipers to ON, not intermittant. Watch the posts to make sure they turn, helping the posts turn by pushing/pulling on the lever from the motor is allowed. This will help free up any corrosion.

If it is the motor that is the problem, that requires a little bit more work. And I haven't been there yet on my cars.
