Fill pipe to gas tank leak 850 1996

Our 1996 850T wagon appears to have gas leak at the fillpipe connection to the
tank. This was just noticed after filling the tank. With the gas cap having been removed, but the car standing over night and slightly up hill, pressure in the tank is apparently not contributing. Can someone describe the nature of the pipe conneection to the tank:ie. whether rigid or having a seal that may be leaking.
