Ifinally changed my evaporator 850

Congrats on a hard DIY project. This is the first instance of a failing and new evap reported on this board. Did your mechanic show you where it was leaking? Was it actually leaking within the core or where the evap connects to the cars plumbing? Some aftermarket evaps have slight variances in the angle of the plumbing connections, making them hard to reconnect.

Did you also get a new reciever/drier and a new expansion valve?

If the core leaks, FCP will replace it.
