front brakes w/abs installation XC90 2006

ABS has nothing to do with pads or rotors. Because you need lots of torx bits to do anything on your car, I suggest going to sears and picking up a combo folding tool for $5. It is small enough to get into tight places and gives you lots of leverage at the 90 degree angle.

New style calipers may require a special tool to compress them. If there are indentions on the piston, do NOT push them straight in with a pair of pliers. Use the speccial tool made for that purpose, which turns the piston while pushing it in. My wife's 01 A4 has those on the rear brakes.
