V70 base winter wheels V70-XC70

What year is(was) the 960? It is my understanding that the wheel offset changed for the '95 model year, going to the deep offset matching the 850/S/V70. That would mean to me (someone correct me please) 960 wheels up to MY '94 will fit all 700/900/200 series cars, but not MY '95 and newer 960s, nor any of the FWD models.

That said, I SWEAR that just last night I saw a 2001 or newer V70 sporting 16" "Hydra" wheels from a 740/940.

Sorry to be so wishy-washy. It's all anecdotal information, but I do know that the year of the 960 matters as the offset changed between the '94 and '95 MY 960.
