instrument cluster acrylic rattling against plastic ledge fix? 850

I know this sounds pretty anal, but after switching from driving Saab's the past 15 years which are full of squeaks - this 850 seems to have only one...The acrylic which covers the speedometer, etc rattles against the horizontal ledge in front of it. I've tried jamming items between the two but they fall in behind the steering wheel.

Any ideas?

Is there a simple way to remove the instrument cluster acrylic and line with foam or similar tape?
