spring seat problems V70-XC70

Your assessment of the mounts are probably correct. Other sites have suggested going to the XC90 parts because they are more robust and fit the V70. I use OEM mounts but didn't use xc90 because I didn't hear about them until I replaced mine at 130K.

Just make sure that the spring bottom fits correctly in the groove before releasing the tension on the spring. And try to torque down the center nut nicely, it is a hard thing to do (I just get close).

Oh, before removing your struts... Try marking the strut placement with a pencil so that when you put them back on you will be real close and alignment will be easy. Use new bolts!
