Aarghh- dent! V70-XC70

Darnit! Dent in the rear passenger door.. My perfect car.. I had a guy look at it who said probably could be fixed without paint ($200). Then it was more like $500-$600 with paint. NOW another one of his people is saying $1600+!!!

So I went to one of those dubious looking places. Just to see the other end of the scale. You know the type of place I mean ;) I was feeling dizzy from the fumes 5 minutes into the conversation, and he had one hell of a face rash! Jeez! Anyway that was $400 for paint bodywork you name it. No warranty of course.

Called the local volvo used parts people. $450 for a clean used door! Nice- but wrong colour.

Hmmm..

I'm wondering what to do. I had one other quote for full paintwork for around $800 and that was a place recommended by a volvo dealership. So do I go with them, or the really cheap place, I can't possibly afford the $1600 place, or get the silver used door repainted (no dent need to be fixed on that, so it would be just paint). Or--- Just live with it. It is not structural, there is a crease in it, but not through the paint (nice paint!).

What to do?

Yaleh.
