Engine hesitation under power 850 1995

To disable the AC compressor, unplug the pressostat switch, directly in front of the firewall on the passenger side, connected to the black AC line.
Run through all of the codes in B-1 and try to clear as many as you can. those left over will be ones that you can tackle and fix yourself. Find a Haynes manual for the 850 and fix it.

If the surging still happens with the pressostat unplugged, it might be the idle control valve or the throttle body needing cleaning. It could also be the MAF connection at the air filter being all dirty - that plug tends to get worn for some strange reason.
