Ill check the fuel filter. Would this potentially cause sluggish starting response?

I've not checked the throttle body on this car either- but I will. I'm a little like "whew...the engine's sideways on this thing!" A bit more daunting than my 245!

What is a everyone's preferred shop manual for owners of V70's?
