Looking for a start on staring issues... V70-XC70 1999

What a dirty fuel filter can do is slow down the fuel pump, make it run hot, and kill it. It probably won't make a difference :) but it is a good thing to do anyway.
If you remvoe the throttle body, be careful, it is electronic. What another has done: Wife in the driver's seat, air connection to the TB off the engine. Spray TB cleaner all over the outside of the butterfly valve. Wife runs starter and turns off, that opens the butterfly briefly and spray into TB opening. Repeat until clean, button car up.

You might even have some crummy spark plugs under the coil overs?
