turning radius 850

I just switched to an 850 after years driving 240's, and it DEFINITELY doesn't have the turning radius I'm used to. I was a little embarrased when I went to make a u-turn on the narrow residential street where my friend lives (like I've done so many times before, with room to spare, in my 240). I had to back it up twice and still almost clipped the curb.
