My check engine light keeps comming back up with a 0442.

I had heard that this is sometimes caused by a worn gas cap? Is this a possible cause, and/or what do owners suggest.

Mine is a 1999 C70 with about 145,000 miles. I love it. I still keep the top down most of the time, even with the cold weather... As long as the seat heaters keep working with the warm air :)
