ignition switch - KlausC S60 2004

Final note:

You will need to take off the plastic clamshell around the steering column to find your problem. The key part of the ignition is OK because it lets you get to the ACC point. What you need to do is look at the rear of the tumbler portion. There should be a cable that inserts itself there. Give it a drop of oil to let it move freely, no WD40!
Also check the electrical part of the switch. See if it turns easily with a 1/4 inch screwdriver. If it binds when going to the on position, replace the switch, about $40.
