AWD Rear Diff Fluid Change? V70-XC70 1998

Has anyone ever changed the fluid in the rear differential of an AWD volvo?
Any ideas about the procedure or what fluid to use? I can't seem to find any information about this at all in my haynes manual, owner's manual, etc.

I have a '98 V70 AWD and would very much like to get the extended service items taken care of. It seems like there is a TON of junk in the way back there. I'd like to change the fluid in that diff but I don't want to have to disassemble the whole car to do it.

I did find this post from way back
http://www.brickboard.com/AWD/index.htm?id=946117&show_all=1

but it doesn't say what fluid to use, only that Volvo sells it's own fluid for the purpose. I don't have a dealer in my city, so it's really hard to get a hold of this stuff (they ship it to me but it's such a pain).

Any help?
