STUCK in WINTER MODE/CODE P0500 V70-XC70 1998

well, the blinking arrow has come back. and no, the ABS light is not on, but the check engine light is. The "w" is blinking on the console. Oh, and did i mention this car is a tire eater!!! I've had both a front and rear alignment. It such a nice looking car and does drive very nice, but i'm getting very frustrated. UGH!!! Any advice you can give me will be so appreciated. Thanks.
