Just wanted to close this episode out.... I bought a new relay from the dealer ($50). The parts guy was even nice enough to print out the page showing the relays's location under the console armrest. I pulled the console out and found nothing but a heavy weight about 2"h x 4"w x 3"d and encased in plastic w/a rubber top. What the heck is that for???
Anyway, still determined, I then pulled the drivers side lower dash panel and found the relay residing in relay block high up in the inner dash behind two wiring harness terminal blocks. The wife now has heated seats - just in time for winter!
