Engine slighty rough at constant speed V70-XC70 2000

Last spring, my non-turbo 2000 V70 started running strangely at times. At constant speed, most noticeable at 65 mph, it seems to lose power for a fraction of a second. This condition then repeats itself and the car feels like it is surging or skipping. It is very subtle, but once I recognized the condition, I feel it now at lower speeds. My wife can sense it from the passenger seat. The car runs perfectly the rest of the time, it accelerates fine. There are no codes or lights. There is no change in RPM or speed when this is happening and it doesn't do it all the time. It comes and goes. Maintenance is up to date, throttle body was cleaned and air filter replaced.
It is an annoyance I would like to correct. Any ideas will be appreciated.
Alan
